During the 2013 General Ministry Conference in Little Rock, AK, The Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ elected the Reverend Kenneth Carpenter of Marryville, TN as their New General Superintendent. Rev. Carpenter is the Pastor of the ever-expanding First Apostolic Church of Marryville, TN
The Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ has approximately 420 churches in North America with over 1500 licensed ministers. Internationally the organization is currently supporting 10 missionaries who are overseeing works in 17 different nations. The ALJC is primarily centered in Indiana, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas.
Born June 10, 1960, Kenneth Carpenter preached his first sermon at age 17. Shortly after preaching his first message, he began traveling across the United States speaking to many churches and youth groups. Kenneth Carpenter became pastor of First Apostolic Church of Maryville (FAC) at the age of 23 along with his bride, Penny Carpenter at age 17. Pastor Carpenter’s heartbeat is souls. He is passionate about giving to missions and leads by example to other apostolic churches. He is involved in outreach 21st century style with “The Apostolic Connection”, a weekly telecast that airs daily throughout East Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Alabama. Another form of outreach is the church’s webcast ministry. All services are live webcast and archived on the church’s website at http://www.factv.org. Pastor Carpenter and his wife, Penny, founded Apostolic Christian Academy and Preschool. This ministry has grown through the years and currently has an enrollment of 240 students.
